Now this might not seem like a big deal to all you who live in the north where you get 2 feet of snow at a time...But, in Georgia, where the peaches grow, this is a big deal!
Bailey is a Goldendoodle who is 1 1/2 years young. She has never seen snow before...we didn't have any last year. She has high energy, and the snow has been a good thing for her. She runs, and runs.
Exercising you dog in the snow will definately help them to run off energy. We must pay attention to what kind of snow they run in, the outside temperature and are there any chemicals mixed with the snow.
Frostbite can happen in animals as well as humans.
Dogs love to chase snowball, help with shoveling and going on winter walks. Not only good exercise for the dogs, but for us as well. Enjoy your first snow!
